HAPPY DAYS

ENNISKILLEN INTERNATIONAL ANNUAL BECKETT FESTIVAL
THURS 22 - MON 26 AUGUST 2013

Here are just a few of the 2013 Festival highlights.
Full programme details including times, prices and venues for our highlights, will be announced in April-June.
"Enniskillen seems to have embraced the festival with wide open arms. Barbershops proposed 'Beckett haircuts', a local coffee shop offered 'Endgame' (Hamm and Clov) and 'Krapp' (banana and Nutella) sandwiches, all in-jokes for those familiar with the character names and actions in these plays. ....the performances and events I attended all over town were consistently packed."
New York Times, August 2012

13 of Beckett's short plays
Durations range from 3 to 30 minutes

*SPECIAL EVENT*
A hugely exciting site specific show, inspired by Dante's The Divine Comedy, will take place in The Marble Arch Caves (Inferno), the islands on Lower Lough Erne (Ante Purgatorio) - Forthill Park (Mount Purgatory) and high in the air (Paradiso)!

Message from the Festival Director, Sean Doran:
'As last year showed for those who took advantage of the festival, the work of Samuel Beckett wasn't as frightening as it first seemed, it was actually quite a lot of fun! This year the festival aims to be even more popular with including more family-style events in a new mime, cirque, clown and comedy programme and the inclusion of singer-songwriters led by Van Morrison.

Book early and book often! Enniskillen will indeed become "Beckett Town" and we expect all our events to be busy'.

Full programme launch mid-June.
